About the Webinar

PRESENTER:

  • Jessica Gonzalez, General Manager of Auto and Vice President of Customer Success, Informed.IQ

ABOUT THE WEBINAR:

Fraud in auto lending has evolved from opportunistic document manipulation to a coordinated, AI-enabled threat that defeats the manual and legacy verification systems most lenders rely on. According to Informed’s 2026 Auto Finance Fraud Intelligence Survey, 75 percent of lenders report fraud has increased materially year over year, and 80 percent have only slight or no confidence that their current systems can detect a GenAI-created counterfeit document.

This session examines both sides of the fraud challenge. On the documentary side, AI-powered tools now produce pay stubs, bank statements, and employment letters that are visually indistinguishable from genuine documents, defeating the stare-and-compare review that has defined underwriting for decades. On the non-documentary side, synthetic identities and bust-out patterns exploit data blind spots that no single lender can see alone.

Jessica Gonzalez of Informed.IQ will walk through how purpose-built AI verification, cross-lender network intelligence, and non-documentary validation strategies are helping lenders stay ahead of both threats while improving funding speed and borrower experience.

THIS WEBINAR WILL COVER:

  • Why documentary fraud has outpaced traditional verification: how AI-generated pay stubs, edited bank statements, and dark web templates defeat manual review, and what purpose-built AI detects that generic tools miss.
  • How synthetic identities and bust-out fraud exploit the gaps in traditional credit models, and why no single lender can detect coordinated fraud rings without cross-lender network intelligence.
  • Non-documentary verification strategies that go beyond document review, including employment database connections, occupation-based income modeling, and behavioral fraud signals at the point of application.

TOP 3 BENEFITS TO ATTENDEES:

  1. Understand the fraud your risk model was not built to handle, grounded in data from Informed’s 2026 survey.
  2. Walk away with a practical detection framework covering both documentary and non-documentary fraud, with specific strategies for closing gaps in your current verification program.
  3. See how leading lenders are turning fraud prevention into a competitive advantage by reducing manual review time and enabling faster, more confident funding decisions.
