CJ Spates
Head of Enterprise Functions & Business Banking Risk Management, SVP, Citizens Bank
CJ Spates is an accomplished risk management professional with over 18 years of experience in the banking sector. Currently serving as Head of Risk Management for Enterprise Functions and Business Banking and Senior Vice President at Citizens Bank. CJ has held various senior roles in risk management, including Senior Director and Director. Prior to moving into the first line, CJ managed audit engagements and compliance efforts while collaborating with global business as a subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Scotland. In 2023 CJ began to stand up a risk management program for Generative AI at Citizens Bank, and continues to oversee that risk team and program today.
