ABOUT THE PRESENTERS:

Ben Soccorsy
Executive Vice President, Financial Institution Engagement at Mastercard

Ben Soccorsy is Executive Vice President of Financial Institution Engagement for Mastercard, focusing on strategic partnerships and infrastructure. Ben is part of our executive leadership team dedicated to enabling innovation in the financial services through consumer-permissioned data from Mastercard’s state-of-the-art open banking platform. 

Ben has been instrumental in furthering technology standards around open banking and through is role with the Office of Engagement at Mastercard and serving in industry leadership roles including co-chair of the board of directors of the Financial Data Exchange (FDX), board of directors of Akoya and member of The Clearing House’s connected banking steering committee. Ben served as a primary representative with regulators and lawmakers on open banking and also the Payments Advisory Board for Early Warning Systems (EWS) where he led the launch of Zelle for Wells Fargo. Ben also managed digital payments products including digital wallets such as (Apple Pay, Google Pay and more), bill pay, mobile check deposit, and online wires. 

Previously, Ben was Head of Strategy for Wells Fargo’s digital team and general manager for the unsecured personal lending business. Prior to his nearly 17 years at Wells Fargo, Ben worked at Blue Shield of California in the COOs office, and in management consulting at Deloitte. Ben began his career as a US Senate staffer on Capitol Hill.  

He received a BA in Economics from Northwestern University and an MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. Ben lives outside San Francisco with his wife, son and daughter, and their new Covid puppy Posie.
 


Jenny Ziegler
Vice President, Financial Institutions at Mastercard

Jenny Ziegler is the Vice President of Financial Institutions at Mastercard where she specializes in delivering innovative and engaging solutions centered on the consumer. 

As an experienced sales professional, Jenny leads a team that manages Mastercard’s portfolio of open banking enterprise accounts and is focused on helping clients succeed through utilization of existing products, while also partnering with them to come up with new solutions. Jenny is an exceptional relationship builder and works with each client to understand their challenges and create a plan and vision to help them navigate a chaotic, constantly changing market with confidence and clarity.  

She has over 25 years of experience in direct-to-consumer engagement with an emphasis on partnerships with large financial institutions. Prior to Mastercard, Jenny held several global leadership roles at Experian.
