CBA Releases Chart Book for Q2 2025

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Consumer Bankers Association (CBA) today released its Chart Book for the second quarter of 2025, which shows a mixed economic picture for consumer banking with both positive and negative trends.

This is the third iteration of the CBA Chart Book, a quarterly snapshot of aggregate data and resources related to the retail banking industry.

Key Findings

This edition of the Chart Book highlights:

  • Increased consumer loan demand;
  • Improved performance of non-student consumer loans;
  • Elevated unemployment for recent college graduates and new entrants to the labor market;
  • Student loan delinquencies surpassing pre-pandemic levels; and
  • Slowing small business loan demand.
