Automobile Finance Committee

The Automobile Finance Committee brings auto lenders together to assess how to best serve customers by investigating emerging industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes. The Committee is dedicated to furthering fair and responsible lending throughout the marketplace, and acting as an educational resource for dealers and lawmakers.

CBA’s Automobile Finance Committee is the retail banking industry’s only comprehensive forum on indirect lending, floor planning, leasing and non-prime lending comprised of top executives in indirect automobile finance. As the regulatory environment continues to change, the Committee focuses on advocacy, monitoring regulatory changes and educating CBA members on how new rules will impact auto financing. The work of the Committee is reflected in the programming of the automobile finance forum at CBA LIVE, the premier conference for professionals in the retail banking industry. Specific automobile finance sessions address the fast-paced changes in both the manufacturer and dealer industries and other relevant issues. The group keeps abreast of industry developments and trends as they relate to indirect automobile financing such as market dynamics, consumer contracts, lender-dealer relationships, sales/dealer operations and risk management practices. Current issues include the impact of the CFPB, availability of consumer credit, fair lending, impact of dealer consolidation and industry best practices.
