Risk Committee

CBA’s Risk Committee focuses on best practices for risk management at CBA member banks, the identification of legislative and regulatory issues, and implementation of the heightened standards.

The Committee addresses the issues and challenges facing retail banks in the management of risk; customer satisfaction and compliance. Building out the first and second lines of defense are top priority for committee members as they navigate the developing landscape risk management. Understanding risk culture is also an important consideration. Discussions of the committee focus on trends in risk management and changes in regulatory expectations, and operational considerations in implementing heightened standards. This committee structure is designed for our committee members, who lead first and second lines of defense, to share resources and best practices to help others in the industry deploy change and adapt their people, processes and technology in support of the compliance activities.
